Colonial – Congratulates Transportation Association of Maryland (TAM) Roadeo Winners –Blog 2013.4.23

The winners competed against drivers from around the state in two classes of vehicles: Small Bus and 15 Passenger Van. The competition includes demonstrating their skills in pre-trip inspections, the use of wheelchair securements, and providing customer assistance. All participants receive an award certificate 1st and 2nd Place winners are awarded a scholarship to attend the national Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) Roadeo competition, this year held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

These four 1st and 2nd Place winners will be representing Maryland at the national competition, they are: Gary Watson of Baltimore County/County Ride – 1st Place in the Small Bus class; Reginald Henderson of Baltimore County/County Ride – 2nd Place in the Small Bus class; Lawrence “Rocky” Ford of Garrett County Transit Services – 1st Place in the Van class; and Teresa Ann Crowe of Carroll Area Transit System (CATS) – 2nd Place in the Van class. Colonial is a proud member of TAM, a non-profit agency whose mission is to serve and represent its members and is dedicated to improving mobility and economic opportunity for all Maryland citizens.
